Purpose: To develop standards for design and construction of air supported structures. BLAST PROTECTION OF BUILDINGS

Purpose: Develop standards for design loads on construction DESIGN OF ENGINEERED WOOD CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS

Purpose: Develop criteria for the design and construction of concrete and steel deck systems. STRUCTURAL APPLICATIONS OF STEEL CABLES FOR BUILDINGS STANDARDS

Purpose: Develop a standard for structural applications of steel cables for buildings using the 1973 Edition of the AISI Manual for Structural Applications of Steel Cables for Building as a resource document. STRUCTURAL COMPOSITES AND PLASTICS STANDARDS

STRUCTURAL CONDITION ASSESSMENT AND REHABILITATION OF BUILDINGS STANDARDS

Purpose: Identify engineering issues, develop solutions, and prepare consensus standards for the structural condition assessment and rehabilitation of buildings. This will include the assessment of materials, components and systems; identification of risks and setting of priorities; and selection and implementation of strengthening techniques.

WIND TUNNEL TESTING STANDARDS

Purpose: provide minimum requirements for wind tunnel tests to determine wind loads on and response of buildings and other structures. FROST PROTECTED SHALLOW FOUNDATIONS

Develop loading criteria for assuring safety, serviceability, and integrity which are applicable to wide class of construction technologies. STRUCTURAL CONDITION ASSESSMENT AND REHABILITATION OF BUILDINGS STANDARDS Purpose: Identify engineering issues, develop solutions, and prepare consensus standards for the structural condition assessment and rehabilitation of buildings. This will include the assessment of materials, components and systems; identification of risks and setting of priorities; and selection and implementation of strengthening techniques. Subcommittee on Structural Condition Assessment of Existing Buildings Purpose: Identify needs and to develop consensus standards for the condition assessment of existing building structure including the overall evaluation process and specific considerations of building materials, components and systems. Both documentation of available condition assessment methods and formulation of new procedures will be included. Subcommittee on Condition Assessment of the Building Envelope Purpose: Identify needs and to develop standard guidelines containing procedures for the condition assessment of existing building walls and roofs. Only those issues affecting structural integrity will be considered. The guidelines will cover load bearing and non-load bearing walls, fenestrations, cornices, parapets and ornamentation. Roof systems to be covered include the primary load carrying system, and membrane and other water proofing systems. Whenever possible, existing standards for evaluating the performance of the building envelope will be referenced. SEISMIC REHABILITATION STANDARDS COMMITTEE Purpose: Develop consensus standards for the seismic evaluation and rehabilitation of existing buildings. STRUCTURAL DESIGN FOR FIRE CONDITIONS STANDARDS Purpose: Develop standards for structural design for fire conditions. Standard: ASCE 29-99 Standard Calculations for Structural Fire Conditions Scope: 1.2.1 The calculation methods provided in the document are intended to produce fire resistance rating times that are equivalent to the results obtained from the standard fire test, ASTM E119 Standard Test Methods for Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials. The calculation methods of this standard are for use as an alternative to the laboratory test results. 1.2.2 These calculation methods are applicable only to structural steel, plain concrete, reinforced concrete, timber and wood, concrete masonry, and clay masonry. Limitations of applicability are identified in the individual chapters that describe the methods for each of the materials that comprise this standard.
